Frank and I, as well as every member of our family and friends that come into our home, absolutely love our kitchen cabinetry. We appreciate its beauty and quality every single day and thank you so very much for your design, artistry, and quality.

The contractors who put the cabinets in place couldn't believe the way they were built. They didn't think cabinets were built like that any more. Simply saying we are pleased seems inadequate. Everything has gone so well and all of our contacts with Kennebec have been a delight.

Design Process
The secret to the beauty, utility, and simple elegance of Kennebec cabinetry is our design process. When you call The Kennebec Company, you do not get a telemarketer sitting at a computer processing your order. You will speak with one of our architectural designers who will be happy to talk with you in detail about your project. We do not ask you to send us your room dimensions in order to print you a computer generated, cookie-cutter design. We arrange to come to your home, anywhere in the US or Canada, in order to see your space and the architectural detail of your home first-hand. But even more importantly, we do this to spend time with you, listening to what you like and want, how you live, how you cook, how you entertain, and what is important to you and your family.
We then do sketches, brainstorming ideas with you, as we develop a plan of how your room will look and how it will function. This is our in-home design consultation, and this is the foundation of our entire design process.
After the completion of the preliminary conceptual plans at the consultation, and with your project moving forward, we proceed to the detailed design phase. You will work one on one with our designer to refine and hone all the details of the plan, until it is exactly the way you want it, you have a space for everything that you need at hand, and the room works just the way you want it to. We prepare detailed plans, elevations, and sketches to show you just how your finished project will look.
The final step is the preparation of shop drawings as we ready your project for building in our cabinet shop.
If you are working with an architect, some of the early steps in our process may not be necessary. There is no need to duplicate the work that you and your architect have already done. In these cases we will begin with your architectural drawings and proceed from there.
